A Solar Atomic watch is the combination of two of the best attributes any timepiece can have. Making a hot and green gift. Never will the recipient have to adjust their watch again.
Casio Men’s Ana-Digi Electro-Luminescent Sport Watch is a great choice when considering an atomic watch. It is an affordable clean cut watch. This is a full featured watch with 4 alarms, stop watch and both digital and analog faces.
The solar powered unit means that there is no need to recharge or worry about the battery dying. Getting its power from the sun is what keeps this watch ticking and a popular choice among those who wear watches across the globe. With most watches that are made in this way, the atomic quality of the watch provides accurate time keeping even when crossing over a new time zone and don’t need to be wound to continue working.
If you are looking for a more stylish but just as functional watch consider the Casio Men’s Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Silver Watch. This is a solar powered watch which will have a small solar panel which is placed in back of the crystal to absorb artificial light as well as sunlight. They run on a lithium battery, which can last up to six months without the need of a light source to charge the battery. The largest manufacturer of purely solar powered batteries is Citizen.
An atomic watch is synchronized automatically through low-frequency radio signals received from WWVB. This is the station that radio-controlled watches use to synchronize themselves in North America. The signal is received from the most precise clock in the world, known as the Cesium atomic. The accuracy of the Cesium atomic is said to be one second in one million years. Inside the atomic watch is an antennae and program that is made to receive the radio signal.
You will find that these solar atomic watches come in a wide variety of choices. Titanium seems to be a popular choice for many of these watches, although you can find them made from stainless steel and other materials as well. Many models are shock resistant and waterproof as well. You can find solar atomic watches that are also equipped with their own digital compass. There are also many choices if you are looking for a pilot’s watch, as well as sports watches. There are watches you can find in this type of model that are sleek and elegant, while others are bulky and professional. Some have a digital display while others have a more traditional Roman numeral face. Whichever watch you prefer, you should be able to find a solar atomic watch that will suit your needs and your style.
While most of these watches had only been available as a man’s watch, there are now also solar atomic watches available in women’s choices as well. The Casio Atomic Baby-G is the first solar atomic watch released in a women’s model. It was first available in black and white, but has now expanded to other colors, one of the most popular being pink. They also have the technology to be able to handle harsh conditions in the water or on land. The Casio Wave Ceptor series is now also offering a women’s watch, which is water resistant up to 50 meters.
Another first in the solar atomic watch field is the Atomic Solar Chronograph watch produced by Oceanus. The chronograph on this watch can measure elapsed time to within 1/20th of a second. It also has the feature of being able to measure tides at the simple push of a button. This watch also comes with a scratch resistant, sapphire crystal surface that will ensure this watch will last for a long time.
Besides Casio and Oceanus, many other watch manufacturers are now producing these types of watches as well. Watchmakers such as Citizen and Seiko are now producing solar atomic watches of their own. Whether you prefer the style of a certain watch or you like the gadgets and functions they come with, there is a solar atomic watch that is out there for you. With the push to “going green,” the solar powered watch will likely become more and more popular, and the accuracy of timekeeping that an atomic watch can provide could mean that the popularity of this type of watch will continue to increase in the future.
Hiya, opening up a site and in the middle of making rather diverse articles. Do you object if I write about this article? Of course I will give you and this post full acknowledgment.
I think solar energy is the best source to charge any thing so that it is a very interesting thing for most of the people. I like this source of energy so that i am sure that it will be a huge success of this time.
Nice products…..i will have one of it.
Great, it reminds me of my first watch back awhile. It needed winding every day and had to be cleaned every couple of months or it would keep stopping and need a good shake to get it going again. If you wound it too tight the spring would break and that would be the end of your watch.
I luv solar power.
A solar atomic watch is really wonderful and solar powered means we don’t need to recharge or worried about battery dying.Good to watch the video and nice for Eco friendly as well.
Hi,
I think solar operated watches are really a nice concept for the new generation and i think it is a lesson for the society that sun is the best source of energy. Well those watches really looks very nice and impressive. Anyways keep it up and keep continue with your valuable thoughts.
the only thing i am worried about, is how long this watch will last, i have heard in some reports the maximum life of solar powered is 1 to 4 – 5 years, and seriously i don’t wanna waste my $250 to have it when it’s limited in life, and most solar power watches that Casio makes, are the same, is there any that can last forever?, until then i will stick with my DGW30, my first and only watch since 1995, and changed the battery only once!!!!
I love the whole new approach to solar powered accessories, from watches and ipods to laptops. A must for all digital nomads.
It is an awesome idea to have solar watch in this time period. Small deeds makes us aware, fault we do. Saving energy can save us from energy crisis. Solar energy is god gifted and we should utilize it.
This is a great work. I really appreciate.
The blog was decidedly fantastic! Lots of nice information and encouragement, both of which we all need!
This is a great way to power watches. I think solar energy should be used in as many ways as possible and watches are no different. I know the batteries in normal watches are hardly going to make a difference in reducing our carbon footprint but every little helps the environment.
Haha never a truer word spoken! :
After reading this one, my interest has increased about your topic. It was really a great work. You must have worked very hard for it.
You have an informative write-up my buddy. Keep up churning out useful article like this. Cheers!
Hi there! Great thought, but will this actually perform?
Robert
Hi Robert;
We actually have a Robert in our household who has a solar atomic watch, and it works wonderfully. Nothing better than to always be on the correct time.
Tracy
Wow, I just started in being able to build cheap solar panels, and this content on your site helps a lot, thanks for sharing!
Interesting clock that I will soon buy me safe, so can not hurt and that is the load on by solar energy, the problem is with the batteries in the past.
I’m actually glad I discovered this post. I’ve been checking for information on solar energy for some time.Looking forward to reading more posts about energy.
Great tips to follow. Being professional and showing them there’s more to come I think are the most important. You need to give them a great article, that makes them want to come back. And then make sure you don’t disappoint.
I actually use one of these. Their really useful to say the least!
My brother and I have had many G-Shock watches, ranging from styles all over. We have also owned some limited edition ones as well. My brother got this particular Mudman for me because I just joined the National Guard. Hes in the Air Force and owns a Mudman himself, but an older model. His watch isn’t solar powered or atomic, but is still in great condition, since Mudman watches can handle anything I hear! The buttons are a little tough to push, but all Mudman’s are made this way. This is why they are able to handle the beating or day-to-day wear and tear you give it! The atomic sync is great, right out the box it synced the time and it was accurate, since I live in NYC. I also like the Auto EL(Move your wrist toward you and it automatically lights up). The watch is great… I’m going to put it to the test each time I go out with my unit. I recommend this timepiece to any military personnel in any branch!
